In this workshop, Sung Kim will teach the basic foundational skills of portrait painting by using traditional methods to create realistic portrait painting from a live model. The course will cover the principal stages of building portrait structure and proportion along with knowledge of how to make color temperature and light values of skin tones. Technical instructions will be presented with demonstration, brief lecture and critique.

Canvas/board: Recommend 11”x14”, the instructor will be using 11”x14” to demo, however you are free to bring other sizes. Please bring 2 to 3 canvass to class.
