In this course students will learn the necessary professional tools for drawing. Students will explore the rendering of geometric forms, volume, and perspective, with an emphasis on personal gesture marks. We will discuss materials, basic shapes, understanding value range and how to apply all these knowledge to drawing realistic images from life and photo references. You will learn the direct steps to enhance your drawing capabilities from basic shapes to more complex subject matter. As you progress you will start building your understanding of drawing to make informed decisions within your artistic process. The instructor, Daniel Segrove, will work closely with students in class, providing individual guidance, demonstrations, and lectures. All levels are welcome.

Paper: Strathmore 400 series drawing pad
